The Commercial Case

Why the Best Yachts Get Rated

01

Command Premium Rates

Rated yachts consistently achieve 15 to 25% higher charter rates. A verified quality standard gives brokers confidence to position your vessel at the top of the market.

02

Attract Higher Quality Guests

Discerning charterers actively seek rated yachts. Your rating signals quality before the first conversation, filtering for guests who value excellence and are willing to pay for it.

03

Increase Booking Frequency

Rated yachts appear in our curated recommendations and seasonal guides. This drives qualified enquiries directly to your central agent, increasing deal flow throughout the season.

04

Crew Development

Your detailed assessment report identifies specific areas where targeted training can elevate service. Access our Training Academy to upskill crew between charters.

Owner FAQ

How much does an assessment cost?
€7,500 for the initial assessment. €3,500 for each annual renewal. No payment is taken at application — the fee is invoiced only if the panel accepts your yacht.
How long does it take from application to published rating?
Panel review of your application takes 48 hours. If accepted, the assessment is scheduled within 6 weeks. The rating is published within 21 days of assessment completion. Total typical time: 8–10 weeks.
Will the crew know they are being assessed?
No. The assessment is entirely anonymous. Our inspector books through your central agent as a regular paying charter guest. Owners are informed of the assessment window, not the exact date.
What if my yacht scores poorly?
Failed yachts receive private feedback but ratings are not published without owner approval. You may address the feedback and reapply after a minimum 12-month interval.
Does the rating affect my charter revenue?
Rated yachts consistently attract higher-quality enquiries and command a modest premium in charter marketing. Central agents cite Superyachtly ratings in preference to self-reported service claims.
Who conducts the assessments?
Trained inspectors — former chief stewardesses, captains, pursers, and luxury hospitality professionals. All are salaried, not commissioned, to prevent conflicts of interest.
Can I influence the rating with a higher fee?
No. Fees are fixed. Assessment scoring is panel-reviewed and independent of commercial relationship. Attempts to influence a rating result in disqualification.
What happens if I sell the yacht?
Ratings are tied to the yacht + crew combination, not ownership. If the crew changes significantly (>30% turnover), we recommend a re-assessment to maintain rating accuracy.
